Hollywood copies Bollywood?

Is it a case of Hollywood copying Bollywood?
First is a trailer of One Day, starring Anne Hathway. The movie tells the story of two college sweethearts who keep coming back to each other or are circumstantially-forced to reunite each time.
Second is Hum Tum, starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji. The two keep bumping into each other over the years only to re-unite at the end. Both the movies show one of the lovers getting married (In One Day it's the hero and in Hum Tum it's the actress) elsewhere only to realise his/her love for the other at the end. The only difference may be is in the fact that One Day shows their life on a set day, each year.

  1. I always felt Hum Tum was a copy of "Harry Met Sally". Read the movie's plot if you haven't seen it. They of course changed it a bit to give it a bollywood tadka though.
